Start off this first step with the basic guidelines to make a frame for Waldo. Start with a circle for his head with the facial guidelines added in. You will next make the shape of his body by drawing out the guidelines for his torso, arms, legs, and

Now here in this step you will work on his face starting with the shaping of his hair and the hair line around the front of his face. Draw two small circles for his glasses and then his ear and open smile. After that draw the arm lines to shape thos

Description: In this next tutorial I will be showing you how to draw Waldo from the popular searching game “Where’s Waldo?” The book and franchise was created by Martin Handford with the first book being released in 1987. It took Handford a total of two years to complete Where’s Waldo because of all the illustration that was involved. The book is about a guy named Waldo who explores the world by going on long hikes to different countries and areas. He is a very distinctive character that has brown hair, a pair of big eye glasses, a red & white striped long sleeve shirt, a white & red colored winter hat, a pair of blue slacks and brown shoes. The whole objective to the book is to locate Waldo’s location amongst a crowed environment, almost a little too crowded. The book sets you off on a seek and find mission until you can pin point where Waldo is. He could be hiding somewhere near the elephants den at the zoo, or maybe he is sliding down the slopes of the Swiss Alps, who knows. As Waldo travels he brings along with him twelve tools that aid him along the way. He brings a walking stick, kettle, mallet, cup, backpack, sleeping bag, binoculars, camera, snorkel, belt, bag and shovel. All of these tools will become of use in every situation that Waldo gets into. Unfortunately he loses one of the items and it is the reader’s job is to take your magnifying glass and help him find the tool that he lost. The book has 12 detailed 2-page illustrated spreads of the different locations that Waldo travels to. I was given a Where’s Waldo book before and I did enjoy looking for him and his positions. The book is very time consuming and I would recommend the book if you had a lot of spare time on your hands (like when your at your grandparents house or something). This tutorial will show you how to draw Waldo step by step. The instructions are simple to follow which makes learning how to draw this character a breeze. I will be back tomorrow with more fun filled tutorials for you all to learn from. Peace out and keep drawing.
